Street Walking: Art Deco Architecture

One of the most impressive and stunningly beautiful buildings in Toronto is the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) building. Situated in the heart of the financial district, it once stood as the tallest building in the city.

It has since been crowded out by a vast army of glass that now dominates the city skyline, but it causes me to pause and admire it each time I pass by.

    1. I agree, however Toronto does its best to destroy almost every old building and replace it with a giant glass condo. Unfortunately, there are every few buildings left that we’re build before 1900.
