Today is just a quick post. I wanted to share a view from one of the docks I like to stroll along sometimes at the waterfront. It’s often very quiet and peaceful… it’s definitely a lovely way to escape the hustle of the city, if only for a few minutes.
Terrific shot Shane. Where is this dock?
Thanks Edith,
It’s right at the base of Simcoe St… almost next to the outdoor rink at Harbourfront. There are a couple of docks jetting out into the lake, and they’re often closed to the public unless tour boats are loading.
You should take a stroll down one morning when it’s quiet.
Thanks Shane. I may check it out this weekend.
The positioning of the gulls, with the nearest one looking our way (I imagine that was out of your control) makes this even better.
Ha! I’m not sure I even noticed that until you mentioned it, but I think you’re right.
Thanks Jann.
this is a wonderful photo – 🙂
Thanks so much… it’s a wonderful spot.
Great shot – fine composed!
Thank you so much. One of my earlier manual focus attempts.
Diggin’ it!
Thanks bud.
The gulls do the picture for me!
Ya, they definitely seem to be a hit with people. Thanks for stopping by.
Great shot Shane. I like the low angle, it makes you feel the length of the dock better than if you shot the same photo from a standing position. The image is also crystal clear and sharp.
Thanks Cardinal,
It’s a nice spot to walk during lunch. Directly behind me in that shot is a giant outdoor skating rink in the winter… it’s always packed.
Cool. I like skating, but I didn’t get the chance to use my ice skates this winter.
