Opposites Attract

I rushed up on these two to get this shot before the girl left the frame. I was drawn to the symmetry and balance between the lines, the black square, and the two strangers facing in complementary angles diagonally away from each other.

Man, that last point was a mouthful to write out. Anyway, here is a simple street shot from a spot near the Market in downtown Ottawa.

      1. Sorry it took me so long to respond to this. I’ve been in hiding from that mad woman. She IS stalking me and I’m afraid you might be next. We look a little bit alike and I think we’re her type. I suggest you shave that beard and get a toupe. I did and it’s worked wonders!

  1. Shane, not a simple shot at all – it took your wonderful eye to see in seconds the possibilities of this scene. That square hole just adds a fantastic additional dimension to the shot and I love it!

  2. You are SO good at street photography Shane! and portrait. I love viewing your images because they are something I don’t do and know nothing about. But I’m starting to notice things viewing them so I’m loving it!
